A modern, luxury hotel invoking tones of the past

Working alongside Al Hatmy Design and Engineering Consultants, our task was to create a lighting scheme that is in sync with Zanzibari history and hospitality.

A tourist destination, this interior and exterior draws on Zanzibar’s rich heritage filled with old treasures. Its style is reminiscent of the blend of cultures that have graced its shores. The light is demure, creating a welcoming ambience for guests to experience the finest hospitality. The lighting focuses on the interior and exterior architecture; motifs are highlighted, architectural elements and joinery are enhanced, going beyond only when it is necessary to support visual tasks.
